Madagamagamage Dasun Shanaka (conceived 9 September 1991) is an expert Sri Lankan cricketer and current restricted overs commander of the Sri Lankan cricket crew. He by and large plays as an all-rounder and is a right given batsman and right-arm medium quick bowler.
In 2019, he captained the Twenty20 International (T20I) side against Pakistan, with Sri Lanka whitewashing Pakistan 3-0 in the series under his captaincy. In February 2021, in front of their visit through the West Indies, Shanaka was officially delegated as Sri Lanka's T20I commander, supplanting Lasith Malinga. In July 2021, Shanaka was likewise named as the commander of Sri Lanka's One Day International (ODI) crew for their series against India.
