Taskin Ahmed Will Not Join LSG for IPL 15th season

Taskin Ahmed has not accepted the offer of LSG Mentor GautamGambhir to join the Franchise as Taskin has not been granted the permission by Bangladesh Cricket Board

Few Days Before Bangladesh Fast Bower Taskin Ahmed was given the offer by Lucknow Super Giants mentor Gautam Gambhir to replace England Player Mark Wood as he was injured. And there were speculations that this 26-year-old fast pacer will most likely accept the offer. But now circumstances seem to be different. Taskin Ahmed will not be able to join LSG, as told by 'The countries Cricket Board (BCB).' According to reports, LSG approached Taskin as he was seeming to be the appropriate player after Wood left the tournament due to his elbow injury. But Now Taskin Ahmed has given the red signal and denied to participate. This is because of the disapproval of the Bangladesh Cricket Board. The organization disagreed to grant Ahmed the 'No Objection Certificate NOC' to participate in the 15th season of  IPL as he is required to represent his country in the test series against South Africa. There will be a clash of matches of both IPL and South Africa Test Series. And Taskin is mandatorily required to play the ODI  series against South Africa for his country. Well, according to BCB cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus, “Since we have two important series like the ongoing home tour of South Africa and the home series against India, we feel it won't be right for him to take part in the IPL.” Currently, Taskin is in South Africa with his Bangladesh Team for the proceeding 'three-match ODI series between the two countries. There will also be two tests subsequently which will end on 11th April. According to Yunus, “We have spoken with Taskin and he has understood the whole situation. He informed the franchise that he is not playing the IPL and will be available for the South Africa tour and later will return home." Meanwhile, Notably, LSG acquired Mark Wood at 7.50 crore during the IPL auction. But unfortunately, he has to miss the IPL. Concurrently, New Franchise Lucknow Super Giants will make its debut against another new team Gujarat Titans on 28th March under the captaincy of KL Rahul at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
